In a post on their Facebook page yesterday Main Street Cucina announced the permanent closure of the restaurant, which served Italian food Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the same space as The German Table uses on Friday and Saturday Night.

Sam, the owner of The German Table and Main Street Cucina, had been trying to utilize the restaurant's space by serving Italian Food on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

In a Facebook post on Main Street Cucina's Facebook page, Sam the owner explained she permanently decided to stop serving Italian Food on Monday and Tuesday evenings because it put too much of a strain on The German Table, and she didn't want to jeopardize the success she's had with their Friday and Saturday night service.

While The German Table and Main Street Cucina both closed for the holidays in mid-December of last year, Main Street Cucina has had a bumpy ride since re-opening in the new year. That included reduced hours, a temporary closure, and now a month after reopening, the permanent closure of the Italian restaurant service.

If there is any good news, it's that Sam and The German Table will still be serving up excellent homemade German comfort food for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. And reservations are recommended. The German Table is located at 107 E. Main Street in Cole Camp.

Sedalia Needs an Entertainment Complex Like This One in Rolla

One of the top things you told us Sedalia needs is more entertainment options for families. Sure, we have Leisure Park. But with Gokarting and Mini Golf being the main attractions, it's not that great a destination for the cold weather months. Rolla has an entertainment complex called the Zone that offers everything from Air Hockey to Skee Ball. Bouncy Houses to Roller Skating. A complex like this downtown in an old warehouse might be one of the things to help downtown come alive. Check out these pictures from The Zone in Rolla.
