A Buckner man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Monday morning in Jackson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2011 Harley Davidson, driven by 23-year-old Garrin E. Massey of Buckner, was on South Buckner Tarsney Road, just south of Adams Cemetery Road around 6:20 a.m., when the driver lost control of the bike in dense fog and the Harley traveled off the right side of the roadway, ejecting the driver. The bike came to rest in the trees.

Massey was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:30 a.m., by Paramedic Ed Delaney (Lone Jack Fire Department). The body was taken to the Jackson County Medical Examiner's office.

The Harley was totaled.

Jackson County Deputies assisted the Troopers on scene.
