Brooks & Dunn sought the help of Brett Young to re-record their classic hit "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" for their upcoming album Reboot. This new version is a far cry from the original recording.

Kix Brooks, Ronnie Dunn and Brett Young spin 2001's "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" from a Southern rock singalong into a slow, soulful jam — the newcomer's specialty. Young takes on the first verse, introducing the new flair to the track like only the "In Case You Didn't Know" hitmaker could before Dunn comes in on the second verse with another dose of passion.

“[Producer] Dann [Huff] really ran with this one,” Dunn says in a press release. "He locked into this funky groove on the guitar with a killer light-R&B vibe, and it's perfect for Brett’s voice."

For Brooks & Dunn, Hall of Fame Induction Is Emotional

"Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" was No. 1 for multiple weeks when it was released and was the top country song of 2001. Co-written by Tom Shapiro and Rivers Rutherford, the song marked Brooks & Dunn's first single from their Steers & Stripes album. It was nominated for Single of the Year at the CMA Awards that year.

"I was so honored to get asked to be on this project with Brooks & Dunn; the lineup on this record is through-the-roof talent, and the guys are country music icons," Young admits. "As soon as I got into the studio, Ronnie and Kix made me feel so comfortable, which I was so thankful for."

On April 5, Brooks & Dunn will debut their collaboration-filled Reboot album in full. The project creatively spins the duo's all-time hits with country's hottest modern artists: find Kane Brown on "Believe," Luke Combs on "Brand New Man," Jon Pardi on 'My Next Broken Heart" and Lanco on "Mama Don't Get Dressed Up for Nothing." The album will also include duets with Kacey MusgravesThomas RhettAshley McBrydeMidlandBrothers OsborneCody Johnson and Tyler Booth.

Brooks and Dunn were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum earlier this month and have a new exhibit focused on their career that will debut later this year.
