Brett Eldredge Serenades a Cancer Warrior and There Aren’t Enough Tissues
Brett Eldredge saw the sign ... then he felt the emotions as Samantha, a young girl battling cancer, broke down while onstage with him on Saturday night (Oct. 13).
It happened at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, N.H., and Taste of Country station WOKQ 97.5 reports that it was the highlight of a show that had many. "The entire crowd was changed for having witnessed it," the station's Kira Lew writes.
It certainly changed the singer.
"Samantha," Eldredge wrote on social media after the show. "You changed my life tonight with your heart and your smile ... I cannot thank you enough for showing us all how to live! One thing's for sure, you are KICKING CANCER'S ASS and I love you!"
Samantha was in the crowd holding a sign that read: "Kickn' Cancers Ass ... & tonight I'm fallin' in (heart symbol) to the beat of the music."
As you'll see in the video above, while singing "Love Someone," Eldredge spots the sign, leans down to greet his fan and then continues for a few moments before she's pulled to the stage for a private performance. It's all too much for her. Watch as Samantha loses it, latching onto the country crooner. There's a big hug, a twirl, some tears, another hug ... some jumping ... oh, just go watch the video for yourself already.
Eldredge is currently on the Long Way Tour with Devin Dawson and Abby Anderson. During the Manchester show, the pair joined him to sing a cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy." Three dates in Florida remain on the tour before Eldredge begins a string of holiday shows in November.
