The weather is cooling off nicely, the deer are moving and bow season is in full swing.  Man, I love those calm mornings sitting up in the tree stand, watching the sun come up and the woods come alive, waiting for that buck that I've been hoping would come by.

Does and fawns walk by below me, and not even the smaller bucks know I'm there as they pass under my tree stand, just waiting to see ol' Droptine.  The reality is that he's not coming today, so we get down and head back to town to go to work.

That's what keeps me going through my day at work.  The anticipation of my next trip to the woods where I do my thinking, praying and relaxing my mind.  I like knowing that we live in this great country of ours that gives me the freedom to hunt, work and pray.  It's all due to our veterans and our men and women in uniform.  Thank you all for your service.

We've got an awesome event called "Crash in the Park" on Saturday at Liberty Park, starting at 4:00 p.m.  We'll have live music, games and contests.  It's all for 'Got Recovery,' an organization that helps people deal with dependance on drugs, alcohol or anything else through God.  Feel free to come join us.

Our DQ Question of the Week winner won a chicken strip basket from DQ and a Grillin' and Chillin' apron from Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry last week.  Be sure to answer our new Question of the Week for your chance to win!
