In the interest of health and safety the Bothwell Foundation's Wear Red for Women Luncheon is going virtual this year.

The Wear Red for Women Luncheon raises money to buy and put Automated External Defibrillators in every place people work, learn, play or pray in Sedalia. While also increasing awareness about heart disease in women.

Usually the luncheon is an event for people to gather together, support the goal of placing AED's throughout Sedalia and learning about heart health while enjoying a lunch with friends. This year, most of that will remain, except you'll be picking up your lunch and logging in to enjoy the presentation and participate in the online / mobile auction.

The event is scheduled for Friday February 26 with lunch pick from the Ivory Grill scheduled from 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM CST and the virtual program starting at 12:15 PM CST.

There are a variety of ticket options for the Virtual Wear Red for Women luncheon and program this year:

  • A ticket to the virtual program and the Wear Red Purse Auction including lunch from the Ivory Grill is $20.00.
  • A ticket to the virtual program and the Wear Red Purse Auction including lunch from the Ivory Grill and a mini purse $40.00.
  • A mini purse with a one in five chance to win a prize or item worth $50.00 is $20.00. (No bidding required.)
  • A ticket to the virtual program and the Wear Red Purse Auction is also available for free.

Lunch options from the Ivory Grill for the luncheon include two heart healthy options: Attendees have the choice of chicken or salmon on top of a spinach and kale salad with strawberries, red cabbage and carrots tossed in a Champagne vinaigrette that is topped with goat cheese, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Served with a roll and cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert.
