Our area has already received anywhere from three to four inches across West Central Missouri, since 11 this morning. The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill still reports that the winter weather advisory will continue until 6 Sunday evening.

...A second round of snow has begun to develop across the region and will continue through Sunday morning. An additional one to two inches of snow are possible through late Sunday morning with this secondary band of snow, total accumulations will range from three to six inches. Travel may continue to be hazardous, especially on any untreated roadways.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported several accidents that caused several roads to be closed across the state and even advised motorists to stay off roads, unless necessary. MoDOT continues to try and clear out roads, but battled covered status on just about every highway through the night.

A lot of churches in our area have canceled services already for Sunday, but be sure to check with your church ahead of time or check for our latest in cancellations.
