Going into the weekend there are three area high school teams that are sporting unblemished records. Which one/s will finish out the regular season with a perfect record?

It could be interesting how this plays out. Three area teams have so far won all of their regular season games with just a couple of games left on each team's schedule.

Sacred Heart, playing Eight-Man football, travels to Kansas City to play the Southeast Knights. Sacred Heart, ranked at #2 in the state, goes into the game with a 6-0 record. After this game the Gremlins will wind up the regular season with their Homecoming game against Northwest-Hughesville on October 13.

Lincoln High School is on the road for their eighth game of the season at Chilhowee. The Cardinals are presently at 7-0 and ranked fifth in Class One State rankings. They will finish out their regualr season at home against rival Cole Camp.

7-0 Smith Cotton entertains St. Pius X before they wind up the schedule against West Central Conference foe Center High School on October 13 in Kansas City. Currently, Center is 6-1. Smith-Cotton is at the #10 spot in the Class 5 State rankings this week.

It will be interesting to see if the three local teams can pull out two more victories apiece and wind up the regular season undefeated as they go into districts. Good luck to all!
