Henry County authorities arrested two men Wednesday morning after finding a large amount of meth and cash.

According to a press release on the Henry County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, just before 10:00 Wednesday morning, Henry County Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on Circle Drive, in Windsor, after the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. The passenger in the vehicle allegedly threw out an object from the vehicle, just prior to the stop.

An investigation revealed that the object thrown from the vehicle contained nearly one-pound of a white crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine.

During the arrest of the two occupants in the vehicle, deputies reportedly found a loaded handgun and several items of drug paraphernalia. Over $5,500 in cash was also taken from the two men, as evidence.

Arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a weapon were 32-year-old Robert Summers, of Windsor and 30-year-old Travis Hankins, of Leeton. Both men were currently on probation at the time of this arrest and probation violation warrants were issued on both subjects for them to be held without bond, at this time, according to the report.
