Country newcomer Tucker Beathard gave up a college baseball scholarship to follow his dream...songwriting and performing country music. So far, it's paying off for him.

He's followed a path of music and sports.  His dad, Casey Beathard, has written hit songs for Kenny Chesney and Eric Church. So it's evident that the songwriting talent is in his genes.

He's grown up with his brothers playing music.  He started playing the drums in grade school but at some point turned to the guitar as his instrument of choice. According to one source after a shoulder injury he gave up baseball in college to concentrate on his music career.

With his current single "Rock On" climbing the charts, Tucker will display his talents Thursday night, August 25 at the Blue Note in Columbia. General admission tickets are available for the show.  Doors open at 7:00 pm with the concert at 8:00 pm.
