Thousands of country and blues fans flocked to the grandstands last Saturday night (August 18) for the final concert of the 2012 Missouri State Fair, featuring blues legend George Thorogood and the Destroyers and country icon Hank Williams Jr. The packed show could be heard throughout the fairgrounds late into the night, and both Thorogood and Hank Jr. put on a terrific show. Check out the photos from the concert here.
RCA recording artist Bush Hawg were kind enough to let us chat with them on their bus before their set on the Bud Stage at the Missouri State Fair. They are certainly a high energy band and bring the party to the stage. Video and pictures are below.

Linda Hoover is an artist from Houstonia, Missouri. She is painting a mural pointing the way to the "MO50" art exhibit at the Missouri State Fair, and she's quite talented. Earlier in the fair, the portion of the painting that showed people that the exhibit was upstairs had to be removed. Why? Because it was done in a style that resembles graffiti, also known as "street art" or "tagging."
Kids, I know that many of you are well aware that the Missouri State Fair has a long tradition of agriculture. But what do you know of the thrills and chills in agriculture?

Okay, kids, so I know a lot of us go to the fair for the escape. For the excitement. For lots of things! But, there are a few things you might miss from time to time if you just work your way through without truly exploring.
It’s been one year since the rigging above Sugarland’s stage toppled onto excited fans waiting for the band to begin their show at the Indiana State Fair. Seven were killed and dozens were injured in the tragic accident. Tonight (August 13), they’ll be remembered during a pause in the activities at the 2012 Indiana State Fair.
Huntin' Harry was out at the KIX 105 RV at the Missouri State Fairgrounds last weekend, giving away tons of Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry and KIX gear. Harry brought a big buck out there an gave our listeners the chance to win tickets to fair events by scoring the buck. The person who guessed closest to the official score of that buck would win a prize pack from Huntin' Harry. So, who won the prize pack?
