The Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) made a ruling in regards to an incident that happened in the Omaha Beef versus Lincoln Haymakers game on Saturday night (May 11). The Beef defeated the Haymakers 27-23, but there was a brawl that took place at the end of the game on the field.  Eight players and one coach have been disciplined with suspensions ranging from 2-12 games. Names are being withheld in order to comply with employment privacy laws and confidentiality. All players and teams have the right to appeal the suspensions.

The Mid-Missouri Outlaws are in the midst of the most grueling portion of their schedule, taking on the top three teams three weeks in a row. Last week they lost to the CPIFL League leaders, the Wichita Wild, 82-9. Now they're ready to head north on the road for two games. The Outlaws will play the Omaha Beef (5-1) on Sunday (April 5) at 3 p.m and then the Sioux City Bandits (4-2) on Saturday, May 11 at 7:05 p.m.

Let’s talk football.  The draft is taking place this weekend, starting tonight at 7 p.m. and I have to say that it’s one of my favorite times of the year (sportswise, that is). Most people only care about their team and who they draft. To be honest, I don’t care as much about the new players being drafted as I do about the mention of former draft busts.

Jack Hoffman isn't your normal 7-year-old. He is currently battling cancer while scoring touchdowns for the University of Nebraska in there Spring football game. Many of you, like myself were compelled by the video of Jack scoring a touchdown during the Huskers' Spring football game in Lincoln, Neb. Jack's story and video soon took the internet by storm. Kids, I am not a sporty person. I just don't have much of the competitive drive. So I don't really care who wins or loses, and therefore I find I can't root for somebody in sports.  I don't know what it is, but it's just not there for me.

Now having said that, I did watch the football game this week. My ever patient boyfriend sat next to me and attempted to explain things here and there. He did his best to answer my questions ("Is that a camera robot?  Why did that one guy throw a yellow thing? Why do they keep losing their helmets?").
