SPD Make Arrest Regarding Shooting On Main Street
In the early morning hours of Friday, August 18th, Officers responded to 115 West Main Street in reference to a disturbance with gunshots. An investigation of the incident revealed two separate groups got into a large physical altercation, and the victim was ultimately shot. The victim was transported to a regional hospital, where he was treated and released.
The incident was investigated by the Sedalia Police Department Detective Unit, and a suspect was arrested on August 23rd..
Nathaniel A. Shipman, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Assault in the 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
