Earlier this week, detectives with the drug enforcement unit, criminal investigations bureau, officers with the K9 unit, and patrol division initiated a narcotics 'saturation detail' in response to several complaints pertaining to illegal drug use.

A press release from the Sedalia Police Department says numerous citizens have complained of suspected drug activity in area homes.

During the operation, officers conducted several traffic stops, subject checks, and conducted knock and talk investigations. Authorities were specifically targeting illegal drug behavior.

According to the press release, detailed information provided by Sedalia citizens regarding problem areas, the operation resulted in arrests and criminal charges for several people.

The operation lasted for two days.

Sedalia Police arrested three people on June 20:

32-year old Glen T.D. Grant Sr. for Possession of Marijuana and Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

24-year old Tamalon R. Craig was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Intent to Distribute Meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

27-year old Travis D. Martin, was arrested for a Pettis County Warrant-Traffic Offense, during the operation.

On June 21, Sedalia Police arrested:

36-year old Matthew W. Jones for Possession Of Methamphetamine, Possession Of Alprazolam, Possession Of Clonazepam, Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, and 2nd Degree Child Endangerment.

35-year old Charles R. Winsauer for Possession Of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also, as part of the operation, 55-year old Rayford L. Whitney was arrested for Driving While Suspended.
