Late Sunday night, Officers were dispatched to the Phillips 66, 216 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a trespassing report. Upon arrival, Officers found an intoxicated subject sleeping in the alley with a bottle of vodka. The subject was arrested and transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, then to the Pettis County Jail. Elena Garcia Hickman, 56, Homeless, was placed on a 12 hour safekeeping hold.


 

Sunday night, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 800 block of East 4th Street. Officers made contact with Jonathan Wayne Ayers, 36, of Sedalia. Dispatch confirmed Ayers had active warrants for his arrest. Ayers was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for his Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Driving While Revoked. Ayers was booked in pending a $25,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 12th Friday night in reference to a theft. Officers poke with Denaijha Lampkin, who stated she had an agreement with an individual to give her a ride. That individual left with over $1,000 of her property in the vehicle and refused to return it. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they observed speeding in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Kendrick D. Jones, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Jones was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Jones was fingerprinted and issued a UTT for the charge, before being released to a sober driver.


 

Friday night, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near East 6th Street and South Emmet Avenue because it had a non-working brake light. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. It was also discovered the driver was required to have an ignition interlock device, and it was not on the vehicle. Michelle Lee Wansing, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Wansing provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Wansing was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released. Charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Aggravated Offender) and Failure to Comply With a Required Interlock have been submitted to the prosecutor.

Sedalia Police responded to the SPD lobby Sunday morning in reference to a fraud report. Officers spoke with Evan Spilaer, who stated he was scammed online. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue in reference to a report of a civil standby.  It was learned that an individual’s girlfriend overdosed while in possession of his dog. The dog was left at the house, where she was transported from to the hospital. The homeowner gave away the individual’s dog to a stranger, and now the individual wishes to pursue charges of theft.


 

Sunday morning, emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South New York Avenue in reference to a three-vehicle collision with injuries. Investigation revealed a northbound 2006 Nissan Sentra on New York Avenue had failed to yield to traffic on Broadway Boulevard, subsequently colliding with the driver’s side of west bound 2010 Toyota Tundra. The collision caused the Tundra to lose control and rollover twice, striking a MoDOT road sign and coming to rest on the north side of the roadway. After striking the Toyota, the Nissan was struck by a westbound 2012 Ford Escape. The drivers of the Nissan Sentra and the Toyota Tundra were treated at the BRHC for their injuries. The driver of the Escape reported minor injuries and left with a family member.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of West 10th Street in reference to a theft report Sunday afternoon. Kevin Woods stated that sometime between the evening before and that morning, his vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was entered into the NCIC and MULES as stolen.


 

Saturday evening, Officers responded to the 900 block of West 7th Street to investigate a report of a dog bite. The victim had a minor open wound that she was reported was from being bitten by ta dog belonging to the suspect. No medical treatment was requested at the scene. The owner of the dog was identified. This report is being submitted to Animal Control for further follow up.


 

Friday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the Eagle Stop, 3415 East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The manager stated an employee had been stealing cash from the store, cumulating in a value of approximately $1,268.87.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Carolina A. Carlos Saturday morning at the Sedalia Police Department. Carlos reported she was being harassed while working at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. Carlos stated the male in question has come to her work multiple times, and tried to talk to her by following her. A report was completed.


 

Sunday morning, Robert Paxton came to the SPD lobby to report his scooter was stolen from his house in the 200 block of West 11th Street. There was no information on the value of the scooter in the report.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Prospect Avenue in reference to a disturbance. When Officers arrived, it was discovered the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was found attempting to hide in a bush in the neighbor’s yard. The victim said the intoxicated suspect pushed her down and then broke multiple items in the house. Andrew Travis Jones, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Jones was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Friday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several violations in the 2700 block of Clinton Road. The suspect vehicle attempted to pull into an address they did not live in prior to Law Enforcement activating their lights. The driver provided another person’s identity to Officers in order to avoid arrest during the stop. After an on scene in investigation, the driver was arrested. Amber Felicia Gregg, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Driving While Revoked and Identity Theft by Impersonation. Gregg was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of West 7th Street Saturday night in reference to a disturbance. The caller, who was highly intoxicated, had called previously on what were discovered to be frivolous reports. Upon arrival, it was discovered he was making false reports again. Jerry J. Cook, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center. Cook was then taken to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour safekeeping hold.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had defective equipment in the area of West 5th Street and South Moniteau Avenue Friday night. An occupant was found to have two Failure to Appear warrants for her arrest. Jaqueline Susana Menjivar Reyes, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for her FTA warrants on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Menjivar Reyes was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrants, pending a cash only bond of $1, 560.00.


 

Friday evening, Officers responded to the Sedalia Police Department to take a report over a civil matter. There was no further information in the report.


 

On the afternoon of May 31st, Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of South Kentucky for a report of a subject in cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, it was determined the subject was deceased. There is no foul play suspected at this time.


 

Saturday morning, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 1800 block of South Warren Avenue. The suspect ran inside the home when she saw Officers. A perimeter was established, and after consent was given, a search of the home was conducted. In a closet on the second floor of the home, the suspect was located hiding in a cubby under a blanket. Samantha K. Dobnikar, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested for several warrants from Cooper, Henry, and Benton Counties. The Cooper County warrant was a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), and felony Driving While Revoked. The Benton County Failure to Appear warrant carried charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. The Henry County Failure to Appear warrant was filed with original charges of Failure to Stop at a Stop line, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Driving in a Careless and Imprudent Manner. Dobnikar was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a total bond of $48,000 - $40,000 cash or surety from Cooper County, $3,000 cash or surety from Benton County, and $2,500 cash only from Henry County.


 

Sedalia Police spoke with Nancy Sims Van Buren at the Police Station Friday afternoon, who wished to report found property from the 400 block of West Broadway Boulevard.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Montgomery Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with Kevin Wagenknecht, who explained a shed behind his residence was seemingly struck by a vehicle. Officers observed damage to the roofline of the shed. At the time of the report, the suspect vehicle has not been identified.


 

On the evening of June 2nd, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a hit and run accident. Officers spoke with Debra L. Fizer, who stated her vehicle was hit in the parking lot while she was inside the store. The suspect left the scene before Officers arrived.
