Sedalia Police Reports for July 12, 2023

Last Friday morning, Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue after receiving a 911 call from that address for medical assistance. An on-scene investigation revealed there was no medical emergency. The subject, who was intoxicated by narcotics, had called 911 over twenty times in the last month, and there had been no emergency. Lori Lynn Hadley, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested for Misuse of 911. Hadley was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

On the night of July 5th, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 22nd Street and South Missouri Avenue because the vehicle had expired registration. The driver’s information was checked with Dispatch, and it was found she had a Morgan County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Failure to Display License Plates on a Motor Vehicle. Ilysh Alana Buck, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Buck was booked in pending a $250.00 cash only bond.

Tuesday evening, Officers received a tip about a suicidal subject. After an investigation, Officers located the female subject in the 1400 block of South Kentucky Avenue. She was transported to the BRHC by PCAD for treatment.

Early Tuesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of South Ohio Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard due to multiple infractions. Officers contacted an elderly male, who was clearly in a stage of life where he should not be driving. The subject, who was not named in the report, was given a ride to a hotel. The report was made for documentation, and for a driver’s condition report.

Officers took a theft report at Bud’s Laundromat, 301 South Engineer Avenue, Tuesday evening. William Allen stated he was doing laundry, and when he got back to switch it out to the dryer, it was gone. The value they attached to the laundry was approximately $125.00.

Sedalia Police responded to the Stone Creek Apartments, 3100 Brianna Boulevard, Tuesday afternoon. As Officers were there investigating another unrelated matter, they were informed one of the subjects on the scene had an active warrant for their arrest. Stephanie M. Robledo, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant from 2022 on original charges of Fishing Without a Permit (Non-Resident). Robledo was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $146.00.

Tuesday morning, Clara Scott came into the lobby of the Police Department to report a theft. Scott stated her work laptop had been stolen out of her vehicle at the Liberty Pool, 1700 West 3rd Street. A report was completed.

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 1800 block of East 9th Street in reference to a found property call. Marilyn Joan Lee stated she had found a wallet near her backyard. The wallet was entered into evidence for safekeeping.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street Monday afternoon, to investigate a report of a subject inside that was not allowed to be there. The subject was not allowed to be near a park, due to being on the sex registry list (2007, Unclassified RSMo: 566.062). Upon arrival, Officers contacted the suspect. It was confirmed he was prohibited from being inside parks. John Edward Hutton, 49, of Kansas City, was placed under arrest. Hutton was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of felony charges of Sex Offender Physically Present/Loitering Within 500 Feet of a Park with a Playground, Pool, or Museum. Bond for Hutton was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
