Sedalia Police Reports For August 9, 2023

Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Moniteau Avenue in reference to property damage. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the caller, Darlene Marie Parker. Parker reported she found three bullet holes in her vehicle. Parker stated the bullet holes were not there the night before. No arrests have been made.
Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Woods East, 701 East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft of a Coleman mini bike. Officers were given a description of the suspect. A short time later, the suspect was seen riding the motorcycle in the area. Officers converged on the suspect. The suspect hid the motorcycle near a shed behind a residence in the 1000 block of East 7th Street and went inside the residence. Officers entered the residence and took the suspect in custody. Drug items were located after the suspect was arrested. Hakeem S. Dickson, 26, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering With a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree, and felony Tampering with Physical Evidence. Dickson was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Casey’s store, 1909 West Main Street Tuesday morning in reference to a theft report. The manager stated a male came into the store earlier that morning and stole several items before leaving. There was no estimate of the value of the items in the report.
Officers began investigating a report of theft via scamming on a mobile game Tuesday morning. The victim, Jose Kuenzle R. Bocobo, lives outside the country and contacted the SPD via email to begin the investigation. The total amount of money stolen from the victim was set at $1,940.41.
Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road in reference to a subject present who had a warrant for their arrest. When the warrant was confirmed active, the subject was taken to the Pettis County Jail. Martez LaMont Troy Jr., 38, of Sedalia, was booked in on his Failure to Appear warrant from Johnson County on original charges of Driving While Revoked. Troy was given a cash only bond of $500.
