Rascal Flatts can put on their party hats on this week, as their latest single ‘Banjo’ is sitting pretty at No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck country singles charts. The new chart-topper marks the trio’s 14th career No. 1 hit.

The latest accomplishment comes just a few weeks following the release of their eighth studio album, ‘Changed,’ which fans couldn’t snatch up quickly enough. Like ‘Banjo,’ the album saw success of its own, making a charting debut at No. 1 in early April.

“Thanks to country radio and our fans for loving this song,” Rascal Flatts’ lead vocalist Gary LeVox said in a statement. “You guys never cease to amaze us!”

‘Banjo’ only spent 16 weeks on the charts before taking over the No. 1 spot. The song leapt over Lady Antebellum‘s ‘Dancin’ Away With My Heart’ and stayed ahead of Miranda Lambert‘s ‘Over You’ to lead the way, and both of those songs are trailing behind now on the charts.

‘Banjo’ was penned by hit writers Wendell Mobley, Neil Thrasher and Tony Martin. If their names sound familiar, they should. The three have penned many of the biggest hits of the Rascal Flatts’ career, including ‘I Melt’ (Thrasher and Mobley), ‘Why Wait’ (Thrasher) and ‘Fast Cars and Freedom’ (Thrasher and Mobley).

Congrats to Gary, Joe Don and Jay on your latest No. 1!
