Friday afternoon, Michael Schafer came to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office to report harassment by a male relative over the last several weeks. The incident is currently under investigation.


 

Sunday night, Deputies responded to the 23000 block of Highway O to attempt to locate an individual with an active Pettis County warrant. Contact was made with Aimee M. Burton, 45, of Smithton. Burton was subsequently placed under arrest for her Pettis County warrant on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Burton was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in, pending a cash or surety bond of $2500.


 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Moniteau Avenue and West 4th Street Monday morning. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license. Aaron Charles Blondell, 54, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest. Blondell was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without A Valid License (3rd or Subsequent Offense).

On the morning of August 24th, Deputies responded to the area of E Highway and Cottage School Road to investigate a report of two young girls walking along the side of the road. Deputies were searching the area, when they received another call updating the situation. The girls had been picked up by a good Samaritan, and were dropped off at school. An investigation is being done to determine the events of the incident.


 

Sunday night, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 16th Street and South Ingram Avenue on a vehicle with a defective license plate light. The passenger of the vehicle, David Paul Prim II, 45, of Warrensburg, was placed under arrest. Prim was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on an active extraditable Johnson County warrant on charges of felony Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Prim was held pending a $5,000 cash only bond.
