Corn dogs, funnel cakes, and lemonades...staples of state fair across the country. Could this be your favorite place to grab something to eat during the Missouri State Fair?

The Pork Place and The Beef House are two favorites of fair goers year in and year out. Number one, you can go in an air-conditioned facility and find a place to sit and cool off on these hot summer days. Second, they offer some of the best meals you'll find on the fairgrounds.

Now, I'm not saying there aren't other locations spotted across the fairgrounds that don't offer great food. Oh no...my experiences of the other delicacies associated with fairs are for the most part, quite scrumptious! I think it makes a difference if you're trying to finagle a bunch of kids or it's just you and your significant other making your trek across the asphalt jungle.

Walking with a corn dog in one hand while balancing a funnel cake and slurping a cherry lemonade from the other free hand can be a great way to get your nutrition (?) on a hot afternoon.

However it's served up, make sure you get your fill of fair food. You'll regret it if you don't!
