I will admit that the internet claims about this Missouri place made me laugh, but I also believe they're a tad bit unfair. In a conversation about the world's most overrated places, a Missouri destination was included and was described as "If Ned Flanders Ran Vegas".

This brand new ranking and conversation has been raging on Reddit for the past few days. It began with the question "What is the most overrated travel destination?". It didn't take long before a Missouri place was mentioned. Hello, Branson.

Here are some "highlights" of what was said about Branson, Missouri on Reddit:

Not everyone was on board with the Branson, Missouri being wildly overrated statement. I would agree with this person wholeheartedly.

They make the point I would make which is my family (like most) cannot afford to fly to Dubai for a vacation. We can probably manage a summer trip to Branson though and there is a lot to do there. No, I would not choose to go to the Titanic Museum, but Silver Dollar City rocks and my kids would likely agree. No, I wouldn't go to a Wayne Newton show for anything, but Top of the Rock or Shepherd of the Hills are excellent.

Can Branson be a little tacky? That's a fair statement. Is it overrated like the conversation on Reddit claims? I would say no. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I will also add that Ned Flanders from The Simpsons would be proud.
