It looks like ultra-conservative country music star Hank Williams, Jr. hasn't warmed up much to President Obama in the wake of his victory Tuesday over Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The staunch hunter and gun rights supporter took to Twitter Thursday morning (Nov. 8) to predict financial doom and gloom for America as a result of the president winning a second term.

Williams, Jr. -- who has made no secret of his disdain for the sitting president -- tweeted, "America has committed Economic Suicide. Remember my song 'This Country’s Sure as Hell Goin Down the Drain'. - HWJR."

Several songs on Williams' most recent album 'Old School, New Rules' are aimed directly at the controversy that erupted last year when his music was pulled from Monday Night Football after an interview on Fox & Friends in which he compared President Obama to Adolf Hitler. The singer's deep-seated dislike for the Commander-in-Chief apparently stems from his belief that Obama is a secret Muslim bent on destroying America.

“I mean, the guy is the worst,” Williams said in an interview in July. “Giveaway programs, hates America in the first place, forget about the flag… You know, we’ve got a President that does a call to the Quran or Mecca or whatever.”

Williams reiterated that opinion from the stage at several subsequent concerts; once in August at the Iowa State Fair, and again in September at a concert in Texas, where he told the audience, “We’ve got a Muslim for a President who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays, and we hate him."
