Former St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony La Russa has been unanimously voted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

Over his 32 year managing career La Russa won the World Series three times, six league championships, and ranks third all time in manager wins. During his tenure with the Cardinals from 1996-2011 he led the red birds to two World Series victories in 2006 and 2011, eight N.L. Central Division titles, and 1,408 regular season wins, the most by a manager in Cardinals history.

This is great news for Cardinals fans. La Russa was a great strategist, hard worker and fiery competitor who didn't back down. Who knows if the Cardinals would have had the success they did without La Russa at the helm? Obviously I don't know La Russa personally, but from the interviews I've seen over the years, he seems like a pretty good guy.

Check out the video below where he faces off against a reporter who took a cheap shot at one of his opponents. Congratulations on your Hall of Fame induction Tony!
