The next Pettis County Pachyderm meeting is at 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 at the Heckart Community Center, 1800 W. 3rd, in Community Room C.

Guest speaker will be Scott Faughn from The Missouri Times and This Week in Missouri Politics.

Faughn is the publisher of The Missouri Times. Before beginning his publishing career, Faughn was elected the youngest mayor in the history of Poplar Bluff at the age of 22.

Faughn is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and Three Rivers College. He is a member of the Missouri Sunshine Coalition, The National Association of Alternative Newsweeklies of America, Americans for Free Speech,  Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce, the Missouri Farm Bureau and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Those attending also may purchase their lunch at the Heckart Community Center’s cafeteria or may feel free to bring their own meal.
