Ellis Fischel Cancer Center will host an after-hours mammothon breast-cancer screening event from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, June 7, and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 8. The event will be held at Ellis Fischel’s new facility at One Hospital Drive in Columbia.

          Ellis Fischel Cancer Center’s breast health program is the only breast center in central Missouri accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, demonstrating Ellis Fischel’s commitment to breast cancer screening, treatment, research and community outreach.

  In addition to breast screenings, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center staff at the mammothon will provide information and education about breast cancer, as well as refreshments and door prizes.
