Bariatric Weight Loss Seminar

As a first step in the process to reactivate its bariatric surgery  program, Bothwell Regional Health Center will hold a Bariatric Weight Loss Seminar at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the Bothwell Education Center. 

During the free, hour-long program, Dr. Sigi Joseph will discuss the various types of bariatric surgical procedures and the comprehensive physical, psychological and nutritional preparation process leading up to the surgery.

Dr. Joseph joined Bothwell Regional Health Center in July. He completed his surgical training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and did a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also received surgical training from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland, and St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India.

Subsequent weight loss seminars will be held at 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Bothwell Education Center located at 14th and Ingram inSedalia. To register or for more information, contact Dr. Joseph’s office at (660) 827-0423.
