8th Annual Prairie Day

In Conjunction with the Cole Camp Octoberfest and funded in part by the Benton County Tourism Commission comes the 8th Annual Prairie Day on Saturday, October 10th. This free event starts at 10:00am!

There will be a nature photography contest, demonstrations by primitive skill artisans, activities for all ages including Prairie tours, woodworking, storytelling, bird banding and crafts. Also, there will be a hands-on reptiles display, mammal and stream stations, hayrides and face painting. There will be a visit by "Boomer" the Prairie Chicken, a raffle, and door prizes!

At 5:00pm, join the Missouri Prairie Foundation for "An Evening On The Prairie."

There will be music and refreshments availible. Most events will be held at Dr. Wayne Morton's Native Prairie. Located at the corner of Klink Avenue and Hi Lonesome Road.
