2014 Christmas Lighting Contest

The XI Beta Upsilon, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, with the Assistance of the Mayor and the City Council, announce the 34th annual outdoor decoration contest.Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.  Prize money will be $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.  The deadline for entering is 12 noon on Monday, December 8 with the Judging to take place on Thursday, December 11, after 6:30 p.m.  If you have not won a cash prize in the last three years, you may enter by calling 827-3000 extension 145, or stop by the Mayor's office at City Hall.   The judging will be done on lighting, eye appeal, originality, and overall appeal.  The complete display is to remain in place throughout the Christmas holiday for the enjoyment of the community.  The contest will be confined to the city limits.
