Donktoberfest, Haunted Forest Hayride is October 27-28

The second annual Donktoberfest and Haunted Forest Hayride is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday. Oct. 28 at Peaceful Pastures Donkey Ranch, 24516 Kelley Lane, Lincoln (just past Charley's Buffet).

The Donktober Open House will take place from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m., and feature meet & greets with the rescues, learning about Peaceful Pastures' mission, kiss a donkey in the kissing booth, make donkey-related crafts, make your own halter, and groom a donkey.

There will also be food available (for an additional cost) and a bounce house for the kids.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for kids ages 5-17, and free for kids ages 4 and younger.

In addition, a Haunted Forest Hayride will take place from 7 to 10:45 p.m., each night.

– Peaceful Pastures Donkey Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of hay, grain and medical care for the donkeys. Donations are tax deductible.
