First it was in Lebanon and then it happened in Columbia. Now it's taken place in Macon. Recent reports of groups of men buying prepaid phones in bulk at Wal-Mart stores in Missouri. Should we worry?

With the shootings in San Bernadino, California fresh on our minds, this activity has not only raised red flags but also the hair on the back of our necks.

Last Saturday, calls were made to the police in Lebanon, MO. when two men purchased about 60 cell phones early in the morning at the town's Wal-Mart. Columbia, MO. police were alerted to something similar when several men bought dozens of phones at a Walmart late last week, and paid in cash. Then it was the northern Missouri town of Macon that fell into the mix of alerts. On Wednesday, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating a similar report. According to the report from the Sheriff's Department, information has been collected and submitted to the FBI Saint Louis Office and Springfield Office.
