Rob Edwards

Hey, thanks for checking out my page! I'm Rob, I just moved here from Michigan, and so far I love it. I've been working in radio since I was 18 years old, and I really love sports and food. I also love meeting new people, so make sure you add me on Facebook. It's a great way to get in touch with me and help me out with questions and stuff on the Morning Show. If you talk to me, I'll talk back, I'm a real person!

Help Pettis County Community Santa Donate 300 New Bicycles to Children in Need

It's getting to be that time of year again when we all start looking ahead and planning our Christmas shopping. You have to figure out what you're getting for friends, family, the co-workers you actually like, your hairdresser, the guy who does your lawn, etc. I know it's a lot to juggle, but I'd like to recommend one more purchase to your list: a new bicycle for a less fortunate child in our area.

Colton’s Steakhouse in Sedalia to Hold Benefit for Family of Chad Stover on Wednesday

Local Tipton student Chad Stover tragically passed away recently. Although gone, Chad is definitely not forgotten, and the community has rallied around his family with an outpouring of support. Several fundraisers have been planned, including one this Wednesday (Nov. 20) at Colton's Steakhouse in Sedalia.

5 Board Games That Will Tear Your Friends and Family Apart

We are currently taking your toy donations for Pettis County Community Santa. We're specifically looking for board games for families in need.. You can get more details about that here.

I love board games. They're a great way to bring the family together. It's also a great way to tear your family apart. Here is my list of the top five board games that tend to end badly.

1. Monopoly. Possibly the world's best known board game, and also the most frustrating. Monopoly is a slow burn. After hours of seeing your opponents avoid your properties while you have to pony up cash them over and over, swelling their bank accounts while yours dwindles away... I think more often than not a game of Monopoly ends in a flipped board or storming off then the game actually finishing.

This is the first entry in what I hope to make a weekly segment: Off the Trail Tracks. Every week we'll select a new album and showcase a song from it that you're unlikely to hear on the radio any time soon, and give you the chance to listen to it here on our website

Do You Go to Work or Stay Home When You’re Sick? [POLL]

So I came down with a little bit of a cold the other day. Nothing too bad, just the beginnings of a sore throat, stuffy nose and feeling sore and tired. I was able to knock it out pretty quick by taking a ton of that EmergenC stuff and getting a ridiculous amount of sleep. However, I was feeling pretty bad when I came to work Monday.

Winter Weather: Love It or Hate it? [POLL]

I saw something kind of strange the other day on Facebook: Someone saying that they couldn't wait for winter. I know it wasn't sarcastic either, because they added little emoticons of smiley faces, snowmen and candy canes. And if a snowman emoticon isn't sincere, then I don't know what is.

Do Drugs Need to Be Censored from Country Radio? [POLL]

The CMA awards took place last week, and one of the big headlines was that Kacey Musgraves song "Follow Your Arrow" was censored. The word "joint" was removed from her performance. Which was interesting to me because they left the word "crack" (as in cocaine) in the song.
