Zac Brown will be receiving a high honor for his philanthropic work at this year's Country Radio Seminar: The Zac Brown Band frontman will be awarded the Artist Humanitarian Award following the CRS' opening ceremonies.

Established in 1990 by the Country Radio Broadcasters, the Artist Humanitarian Award honors country music artists who have "exhibited exceptional humanitarian efforts during their career," according to a press release. Past recipients have included Keith Urban (2016), Lady Antebellum (2015), Carrie Underwood (2014), Big & Rich (2013), Rascal Flatts (2012) and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (2011).

Since the beginning of his career, Brown has been invested in a variety of philanthropic causes -- everything from, recently, relief for victims of the wildfires in East Tennessee to the ongoing work on his own Camp Southern Ground, a non-profit camp serving children of all backgrounds, with a special emphasis on individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Asperger syndrome, Tourette's syndrome and learning differences such as ADD / ADHD and dyslexia. Inspired by his own experiences as a camp counselor, Brown began CSG with a mission to "provide extraordinary experiences for children to recognize and magnify the unique gifts within themselves and others in order to profoundly impact the world.” Brown is also invested in other organizations, including MusiCares, the Robin Hood Foundation and the USO.

Brown will be presented with the Artist Humanitarian Award in Nashville on Feb. 22, at the beginning of the annual Country Radio Seminar. He will be joined by former chairman and CEO of Greater Media Peter Smyth, who is set to receive the Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award.
