Yelp says the Best Restaurant in the Midwest is in Missouri

There are HUNDREDS of terrific restaurants in the Midwest, think of all the great places in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Kansas City, and that's not even mentioning the small towns! But, according to Yelp's Top 100 Midwest Restaurants 2023, the number one restaurant in the Midwest is a deli in St. Louis, Missouri called Blues City Deli. What makes Blues City Deli so special? On the site they say...

"The menu at this Benton Park institution spans more than 2 dozen ’wiches (plus specials), from classics like the Original Roast Beef (with hot roast beef made in-house) to fanciful inventions like the Aporkalypse Pretzelwich (garlic-peppered pork roast, bacon, provolone, pickle, and spicy Boom Boom sauce on a pretzel roll)...The “deliciously crisp on the outside, soft on the inside” bread is sourced from local bakers, who make it fresh for the deli each day."

Blues City Deli was not the only restaurant from Missouri to make the list, some of the others include Malinche Mexican Culinary Experience in Ellisville ranked #3 on the list, and Songbird in St. Louis which ranked 5th on the list. To see the complete list for yourself click here!

I have never been to Blues City Deli but it is now at the TOP of my must-try list in St. Louis. Sandwiches are my absolute favorite thing to eat hands down, and if a deli sandwich shop beats out all of these high-end restaurants to be named best in the Midwest then it's a crime I haven't eaten there yet.
