The Boys and Girls Club are preparing for a big, new event coming up. Already it's been a huge success, and everyone is getting hyped up for their first ever Glow Run. The Boys and Girls Club is really excited, and so are their amazing sponsors, the Sedalia GNC, the SFCC Nursing Program, and the SFCC Student Government. In fact, they're so amped up for this new event that they're going all out to be sure to get as many people involved as possible. That's why they'll be out at the Sedalia GNC in the Thompson Hills Shopping Center on Thursday, June 12. The gang will be out there from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to give away tons of prizes and get people signed up for the Glow Run. Next week, we'll be broadcasting live out at the Sedalia GNC on Thursday, June 12 from 3-6. Make sure you join me out there for a shot at all those huge prizes! And while you're there, if you haven't signed up for the Glow Run, get that done, too. The run will begin at 8:15 p.m. Friday, June 13 on the State Fair Community College campus. Participants will receive glow-in-the-dark T-shirts, as well as necklaces and other “glow swag” and will be directed by volunteers holding glow-in-the-dark batons. Immediately following the race will be a medal ceremony at the Fred. E. Davis Multipurpose Building. Entry fees for the Glow Run 5K Run/Walk are $25 before June 13, or $30 the day of the race. Glow gear will also be available for purchase for $5.
