With the 2018 ACM Awards just around the corner, it will be helpful to fans to know some facts and statistics about the awards show -- but not the type of facts and statistics that make you want to close your eyes and take a nap. Rather, The Boot is going to answer a big question: Which country artist has the most ACM Awards?

The ACM Awards have crowned many winners over the years, from the newcomers nabbing New Artist of the Year to living legends such as Garth Brooks, but there's only one person or group that has walked home with the most trophies. Any guesses?

It's Brooks & DunnKix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have won 29 ACM Awards (Editor's Note: updated as of 2017) throughout their illustrious career, including 16 Vocal Duo of the Year trophies.

Brooks & Dunn's first wins came in 1992, when they took home the awards for Top Vocal Duet of the Year and Top New Vocal Duet or Group. The two men continued their winning streak through 1998, and they also won Entertainer of the Year twice during that time.

Brooks & Dunn began a record-setting winning streak in 2001, capturing the Top Vocal Duo award eight consecutive times through 2008. The duo received another Entertainer of the Year trophy during those years as well.

Even though Brooks & Dunn have the most ACM Awards overall, some other artists hold important records as well: Garth Brooks has received the most Entertainer of the Year awards, while Miranda Lambert is the most-awarded female, and Reba McEntire has hosted the most ACM Awards ceremonies (17 -- but soon to be 18!).
