I recently had an opportunity to chat with Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson. Pilson is best known as an original member of the group Dokken. He's played bass and has sung with many groups like Dio and MSG and has fronted his own bands War and Peace and Lynch/Pilson. Additionally he had a principal role in the move "Rock Star" with band mate Jason Bonham in 2001's "Rock Star" alongside Jennifer Aniston and Mark Whalberg. You can learn a little more about Jeff and the other members of Foreigner on the Foreigner website here. Pilson has been a member of Foreigner since 2004.

We spent some time talking about how he wound up becoming a member of the band. How Foreigner influenced his other bands. Whether or not artists can still have an inter-generational fan base that bands like Foreigner, Journey, Chicago and many other bands active in the late 70's and 80's experienced. And what people can expect when they see Foreigner and Night Ranger at the Missouri State Fair on Friday August 16.

Listen to Awesome 92.3 starting Thursday August 8th to find out how you can meet Foreigner at the Missouri State Fair and see their show!
