AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Warrensburg Police Department issues their reports to the press once weekly. These reports are for every incident submitted from July 8th through July 14th, 2024. The reports were submitted to KSIS on August 2nd, 2024.


 

On 7/8/24 at approximately 0053 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Zoll Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Phillip Evan Brumble, 20, of Warrensburg, was arrested for felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, and Assault in the 4th degree and was also arrested for a warrant out of Johnson County. The warrant was a Failure to Appear from 2023 on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Stealing a Firearm or Explosive Weapon, and two counts of felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was transported WPD processed and then transported to the Johnson County Jail. Bond on the new charges was set at $25,000 cash or surety.


 

On 07/08/2024 at approximately 0726 hours, Officers were notified by the Bristol Township Police Department in Pennsylvania about a wanted male subject residing in the city limits of Warrensburg. Officers located the male subject in the 800 block of South Main Street and took him into custody for a full extradition warrant. The warrant came from Bucks County, in Pennsylvania, on original charges of Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Unlawful Contact With A Minor, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault in the Corruption of Minors, and Indecent Assault in Violation of the Laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Charles J. Sylvester, 38, of Warrensburg, was booked for a charge of Fugitive Out of State and transported to the Johnson County Jail. Sylvester was given no bond.


 

On 7/8/2024 at approximately 1411 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Office of Probation and Parole at 505 N Ridgeview Drive, in reference to a warrant service. A male subject was located and his Kansas probation violation warrant was confirmed. Harley Alexander Marlot, 26, of Warrensburg, was arrested for the warrant and placed in the Johnson County Jail for a 24 hour hold for a Fugitive From Out of State. The information on his warrant was not available in Casenet.


 

On 7/8/2024 at 1328 hours, Matthew Robinson came to the Warrensburg Police Department to file a report of fraud. Robinson stated that an unknown person stole a business check after he dropped it in the Holden Post Office mailbox on 6/27/2024. Robinson stated that the unknown subject changed the name and amount the check and cashed it at the FNC Bank, 541 East Young Street. Robinson also stated that the person made two additional checks and cashed one in Holden and one in Lone Jack. This incident is under investigation.


 

On 7/8/2024 at 1636 hours, Sharona Eiserer reported that a known male subject came to the Wood Shed on three separate occasions and made purchases with bad checks. The known male subject passed three bad checks in the amount of $2,745.37 for various items from the store. This incident is under investigation.


 

On 7/9/2024 at 1018 hours, Officers responded to Casey's at 303 North Maguire Street for a reported theft. The Casey's Manager, Nicholas Boston, reported that a female subject left the store without paying for two 20lbs bags of ice. Boston reported that the female subject left in a Grey GMC Canyon with an unknown male subject. Jennifer Ann Callaway, 45 of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released for Shoplifting.


 

On 07/09/2024 at approximately 1503 hours, Officers responded to the Probation and Parole Office at 505 North Ridgeview Drive in regards to a subject with an active warrant out of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. The warrant was confirmed and the male subject was arrested. Michael Scott Taylor, 27, of Warrensburg, was arrested for his Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Taylor was transported to the Johnson County Jail with a bond of $15,000 cash only.


 

07/09/2024 at approximately 1646 hours, Nathan Edwards reported that his mailbox was stolen from his residence in the 1400 block of Grandview Drive between the hours of 1630 on 7/8/2024 and 1630 hours on 7/9/2024. Investigation is ongoing.


 

On 7/9/2024 at 2124 hours, A female subject reported that at approximately 2230 hours on 6/26/2024 a known male subject touched her in an inappropriate nature in the 400 block of East Russell Avenue. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/10/24 at 1231 hours, Officers responded to the 500 block of West Young Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. A male and female subject both reported that they were assaulted by the other. Not being able to determine a primary aggressor, the report will be sent to the PA's office for review.


 

On 07/10/24 at 1500 hours, I was dispatched to a MVC in the 60o block of East Young Street. Officers made contact with Nicholas Nida who stated that a male subject driving a white Cadillac struck his vehicle. Nida stated that the male subject got out to make sure he was okay and then left the scene. Martin Lopez Johnson, 42, of Warrensburg, was arrested, processed and released from the Warrensburg Police Department on charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving While Suspended.

On 7/10/24 at 2013 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Lexus IS250 in the 1200 Block of South Holden Street. Raymond Lee Iiams, 49, of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police department. There, he was booked and released on a charge of Driving While Revoked.


 

On 7/11/24 at 0609 hours, Officers took a report of property damage. A unknown subject dented the truck and broke the right rear window out of a black GMC Canyon in the 500 Block of North Holden Street. The incident occurred between 7/10/24 at 2000 hours to 7/11/24 at 0600 hours. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/11/2024, Officers were dispatched to a property damage report to Pet Lovers Lane at 202 E Gay Street. The front window of the business had been shot with a BB gun and broke the window. Investigation is ongoing.


 

On 07/11/2024 at 0937 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 100 block of North Maguire Street. A male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant on a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Timothy Brian Baker, 38, of Warrensburg, was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 07/11/2024 at 1123 hours, I was dispatched for fraud report at Warrensburg Chrysler, 329 E Young Street. Paula Ruff with the finance department reported that two checks were mailed to a vendor were intercepted and fraudulently cashed. The checks total over $4,500. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On Thursday 7/11/2024 at 1121 hours, Officers met with Robert Sapp at the police station regarding a theft report that occurred in the 1200 block of Hillmann Lane. Sapp hired a known male subject to work on his property and he has not completed the project, or returned payment. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/11/2024 at 1246 hours, Officers were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident at 318 East Market Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that one of the drivers had a suspended drivers license. Desiree Tylee Richardson, 34, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Richardson was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

07/11/24 at 1738 hours, Savanah Dawson reported a theft in the 200 block of Lobban Street. Dawson stated her packages were delivered to her neighbors address at 1330 hours by Amazon. Dawson arrived home at 1530 hours, and contacted her neighbor. Dawson stated her neighbor denied having the packages.


 

On 07/11/24 at approximately 1759 hours, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the woods just to the West of 540 East Young Street, reported by Emily Marlin. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male and female subject had got into a verbal altercation. The female subject was transported by JCAD to WMMC.


 

On 7/11/2024 at 1824 hours, Officers responded to the 100 block of Commercial Street in reference to a domestic assault. A male and female subject both reported that they were assaulted by the other. Officers were not able to determine a primary physical aggressor. The report will be forwarded to the municipal prosecutor for review.


 

On 07/11/2024 at 1948 hours, I conducted a subject check on a known male subject at Burger King, 217 East Young Street. Harley Marvin Foster IV, 43, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a Warrensburg municipal warrant on charges of Receiving Stolen Property. Foster was transported to the Johnson County Jail pending a bond of $350 cash or surety.


 

On 07/12/2024 at approximately 1010 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a red Chevrolet Corvette in the 100 block of College Street. Noah Yoder, 22, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Yoder was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released. He was given a warning for the expired registration.


 

On 7/12/2024 at 1142 hours, David Slifer reported that some time between 6/30/24 at 1400 hours and 7/1/2024 at 1145 hours, an unknown subject entered into a UCM owned vehicle and stole a building key, a building key fob, and a car key from the vehicle. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 7/12/2024 at approximately 1601 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Warrensburg Police Department at 102 South Holden Street in reference to a warrant service. Joseph Edward Hawn, 42, of Warrensburg, turned himself in for a Johnson County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle With out Maintaining Financial Responsibility. The warrant was confirmed and the male was booked and released on bond.


 

On 7/12/2024 at 1541 hours, a juvenile reported that they were suicidal in the 200 block of East Market Street. The juvenile was transported to WMMC for an evaluation.


 

On 7/12/2024 at approximately 1755 hours, Officers were dispatched to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard in reference to shoplifting. Walmart Asset Protection advised that they have a female subject detained in their office for shoplifting. Trenity Jo Tyler, 24, of Warrensburg, was placed under arrest and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released with a citation for Shoplifting.


 

On 7/12/24 at approximately 2054 hours, Officers responded to a possible burglary in the 100 block of Commercial Street. It was later determined to be a domestic disturbance. Parties were separated prior to contact. The male subject relinquished his residency.


 

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 0325 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East North Street in regards to a burglary in progress. Dylan Michael Larish, 27, of Warrensburg, was located and arrested for Burglary and Stealing. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 7/13/2024 at approximately 1011 hours, Nick Boston, Manager of Casey's, called stating two suspects stole items from Casey's at 303 North Maguire Street. Jennifer Ann Callaway, 45, and Jeremy Kyle Smith, 32, both of Warrensburg, were arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked, and released for Shoplifting.


 

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 1047 hours, Officers responded to the area of East Young Street and Burkarth Road in regards to a theft that had just occurred. Officers located Robert Mixon who stated that a known male and female subject stole multiple items from him and refused to return them. Officers contacted the subjects and they agreed to give the items to officers. Mixon inventoried the items and stated he was still missing multiple items. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On 7/13/2024 at approximately 1205 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Culton Street for a warrant check for a female subject with a warrant. Officers made contact with the female subject, who was cooperative. The warrant was confirmed from Henry County on original charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree and Stealing. Linda Sue Huggins, 58 of Warrensburg, was arrested and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released on $1,000 cash only bond. She was then transported to WMMC by JCAD for evaluation.


 

On 7/13/2024 at approximately 1412 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of S Holden St. for a check the well being. Shari Barr requested a known male subject be checked on. He was found deceased in his apartment, which appeared to be from natural causes. The Coroner took possession of the male subject.


 

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 1532 hours, Kaylee Weirez called and reported that her phone was stolen off of a register at the self checkout area of Walmart. An unknown male subject was seen taking the phone on security camera footage. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On 7/13/24 at approximately 2017 hours, Officers responded to the 900 block of South Mitchell Street in reference to a property damage call. A female subject reported that she was struck by a known male subject on 7/12/24 at approximately 1700 hours. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/13/2024 at approximately 2042 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Franklin Street in regards to a dog howling. Lynell Oliver Jackson, 30, of Warrensburg, was arrested for Trespassing and Animal Neglect. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 07/13/2024 at 2102 hours, Wesley Orser reported he lost his wallet sometime between 2000-2030 hours in between the locations of 301 East Cooper Boulevard and 410 N Maguire St. The wallet was later returned to him by a female subject, but was missing $4500.00 in cash from the wallet. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 7/14/2024 at 1302 hours, Jodi Bolton reported that a known female subject was scammed out of money in the 500 block of Wilkes Drive between 6/25/24 to 7/11/24. This incident is under investigation.


 

On 7/14/2024 at approximately 1533 hours, Officers conducted a subject check on a female leaving a house that possibly contained a wanted person in the 500 block of Zoll Street. A male and female subject were arrested for warrants. William Utah Sylvester, 47, and Cheyenne Morris-Battles, 25, both of Warrensburg, were arrested. Sylvester had a Failure to Appear warrant from Holden Police on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. Bond was set at $250 cash only each. Morris-Battles had two warrants from the Clinton Police Department on original charges of Littering and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Bond on the Littering charge was set at $2500 cash or surety, and the Assault bond was set at $2500 cash only. Both Sylvester and Morris-Battles were transported to the Warrensburg Police Department. Sylvester was booked and released on bond for his warrant. Morris-Battles was processed and was unable to post bond, she was transported to the Johnson County Jail.


 

On 07/14/2024 at approximately 1720 hours, Officers responded to the Nassif Pool at 428 East Mill Street after receiving information that a wanted person was there. Officers located Gabrielle Lea-Ann Wigge, 28, of Warrensburg. The warrants were confirmed and she was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail to be booked on original charges of a Probation Violation from Vernon County on felony charges of Delivery Or Possession Of A Controlled Substance At County/Private Jail/Correctional Center, felony Tampering With a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Revoked, and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License.


 

On 07/14/2024 at approximately 1843 hours, Officers preformed a vehicle check on a blue Ford Fusion near 101 North Holden Street. Nicholas Joe Alan Brown, 39, of Warrensburg, arrested for a warrant out of Clinton Police Department on original charges of Driving While Revoked. Brown was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and posted $10000 bond for the warrant, and was released.


 

On 07/14/2024 at 1848 hours, Officers responded to the 600 Block of West Clark Street in reference to a keep the peace. During the incident, Officers observed multiple concerns for a juveniles well being at the residence. A hotline was created.


 

On 07/14/2024 at approximately 2250 hours, A female subject was extradited from 7003 E 163rd Street in Belton, Missouri for her Warrensburg warrant. The female subject was transported to the Johnson County Jail in lieu of bond.
