A Sedalia woman was arrested on August 22 after a vehicle stolen from Kansas City, KS was found in a private driveway in the 900 block of W. 3rd Street.

Sedalia Police were called to the residence around 11:30 a.m. and informed of a vehicle that had been left in a back driveway. A check of the vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen.

Police say that as they were processing the vehicle's information, a woman with a key to the vehicle approached from a nearby residence. The woman, 23-year-old Deidre M. Pace, reportedly acknowledged that she knew the vehicle was stolen and said that she had been asked to keep the vehicle at her residence. Pace would not reveal who had asked her to keep the vehicle.

Pace was arrested for stealing and taken to the Pettis County Jail. The vehicle's owner and the Kansas City, KS police department were contacted.
