UCM to Host a Free Program to Help People with Obamacare Enrollment
According to the University of Central Missouri's website, Care Connection for Aging Services and the University of Central Missouri will offer a free event to enroll people in the Health Insurance Marketplace, sometimes called Obamacare, on Monday, November 7th. The enrollment program will take place from 3-6 p.m. in UCM’s James C. Kirkpatrick Library, Room 1464 computer lab, located at Clark and Holden streets, in Warrensburg.
This event is open to the public. Care Connection will have trained counselors available to guide people with their choices of health insurance. It is geared toward people who need to enroll themselves or their families in the Health Insurance Marketplace this winter.
Care Connection has licensed navigators to help people through the maze of the online Marketplace, which was established by the federal government. Open enrollment continues through February 15th, 2017. People who already have a Marketplace plan are encouraged to review their options for the new plan year.
Individuals who cannot attend the event and have questions about the Health Insurance Marketplace, are encouraged to call 1-800-748-7826 or visit www.healthcare.gov.
