Two From Warrensburg Injured in Accident

Two Warrensburg residents were injured in an accident just after midnight on Saturday on Route BB in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 1997 Dodge traveled off the road and struck a tree at 12:25 a.m. The driver of the Dodge, 32-year-old Kelly Luthi, suffered serious injuries. A passenger, 22-year-old Jonathan Welcher, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center for treatment.

The Patrol's report indicates that Luthi was not wearing a seat belt. The Dodge was totaled in the accident.
