Sedalia Police made two arrests on December 20 after stopping a vehicle that was allegedly being driven dangerously.

According to police, the roadway at 16th and State Fair was blocked around 10 p.m. with emergency vehicles due to a stalled vehicle. The suspects' vehicle then passed by at a high rate of speed, and officers made a traffic stop in the 2400 block of South Limit. Police say that they detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver's breath.

A Mora resident, 18-year-old Daniel Sergeyevich Gamayunov, was arrested for DWI, purchase/possession of liquor by a minor, and careless driving. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released, pending state charges.

A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Villiam Izoita of Hughesville, was found to have a Pettis County warrant and was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Izoita was given a bond of $5,000 cash or surety.
