After 10 days of voting, the final results are in: Tuffy Gessling is our 2013 Sedalia Person of the Year.
Based off of TIME Magazine's Person of the Year issue, we asked you to vote for the person or group who had the biggest impact for better or for worse on the town of Sedalia in 2013, and after a few days, it was obvious that Tuffy was running away with the vote.
Tuffy won with a whopping 70% of the votes, followed by the Sedalia Sting Unit with 16% and Dale Malone with 5%. Here is the entire vote breakdown:
Tuffy Gessling was the rodeo clown in the middle of the Obama Mask incident at the Missouri State Fair in August. Remember, this poll wasn't about whether or not what Tuffy did was good or bad, it was about if what he did grabbed your attention.
Congratulations to Tuffy the Clown for having the most influence on the events of Sedalia in 2013. You've got bragging rights for an entire year!
Here's to a great 2014, and we'll just have to see who or what gets the headlines next year.
