Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning in Ray County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2020 Ford F-550, driven by 90-year-old Robert L. Reynolds of Excelsior Springs, was attempting to cross the intersection at Shoemaker Road and Missouri Highway 10 (east of Wood Heights) around 9 a.m., when he pulled into the path of an eastbound 2015 Ford F-150, driven by 43-year-old Nathan S. Conyers of Excelsior Springs.

Conyers swerved to avoid the Reynolds truck, but was struck in the driver's side. Both trucks traveled off the southeast corner of the intersection. The Conyers' truck rolled onto its driver's side against a tree. The Reynolds' truck came to rest in the ditch with a towed unit in the roadway.

Nathan Conyers and his passenger, 43-year-old Susan P. Conyers, also of Excelsior Springs, suffered moderate injuries, and were transported by Ray County EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment.

Reynolds suffered minor injuries and sought his own treatment.

The Ford F-550 had extensive damage, while the F-150 was totaled. Both were towed by R&L Shoemaker Tow.

Ray County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
