Sedalia Police made three arrests after a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Kansas City was stopped in the area of Washington and 13th.

According to a police report, a Ford F250 was stopped around 7:18 p.m. on September 9 for improper vehicle registration. Police discovered that the driver had a suspended license and a possible Pettis County warrant for no proof of insurance and not registering a motor vehicle. Dispatch confirmed that the truck was stolen from Kansas City.

The driver, 25-year-old Bradley A. Simons, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle, driving while suspended/revoked, failure to appear, and failure to register annually with the DOR.

Two passengers - 22-year-old Emma M. A. Gillum and 43-year-old Brian D. Carpenter - were arrested for 2nd degree tampering with the property of another. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were booked and released.
