According to the experts at stepoutside.org, the best place to fish in Missouri is at  Pomme De Terre Lake! Pomme De Terre Lake is ranked first in their 5 Best Fishing Spots in Missouri article ahead of James A Reed Memorial Wildlife Area, Forest Lake, Fleming Park, and Lake Showme. Why is Pomme De Terre Lake at the top of the list? In the article they say...

"With bass, crappie, catfish, walleye, and muskie, the lake is filled with something for everyone. I gotta say I am certainly no fishing expert, especially fishing in Missouri, but I was shocked that Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake didn't make it on to this list. Those are two of the most well-known lakes in Missouri and from what I have heard both are good fishing spots. Also, no love for the Mississippi River or the Missouri River...two of the biggest most important rivers in the US shape the Show-Me State and neither makes the list. Where is your go-to spot for fishing in Missouri?
