The tragic storms that claimed dozens of lives in Missouri last Friday night just claimed another. The Missouri eagle famous for adopting a rock was found deceased after the storms passed.

I would argue this is the most popular eagle in Missouri if not America right now. He's the eagle who treated a rock like his baby and now he has become a really great stepdad - for real.

The public is invited to attend a live owl program, presented by the World Bird Sanctuary, Oct. 17, at Bennett Spring State Park.
