There's good news and bad news about what many forecasters consider to be a dangerous storm system that will impact Missouri early next week. It is expected to crash Missouri temperatures and cause them to freefall more than 50 degrees in just hours, but that drop won't last long.

Most towns in Missouri have at least one reason to brag. But, for one tiny place in the Show Me State, it has multiple reasons to be proud. Not only can they claim they have the highest average temperature in Missouri, but they also have what many believe is the funniest town name.

The more things stay the same, the more they change...or something like that. This principle applies to the weather in both Missouri and Illinois and is proven again as weather forecasters have once again changed their forecast for the region now saying it will be way different than normal for the end of 2023.

There's a new experimental forecast tool from the National Weather Service that predicts a Super El Niño is likely and that could be bad news for snow shovels in both Missouri and Illinois.

I am guilty of complaining to meteorologists about their weather forecasts much too often. In this case, I will not be complaining. There's a new forecast from the weather experts that predicts Missouri's October isn't gonna feel like October at all.

If you haven't already checked in on your air conditioner to make sure it's in good shape, might want to do that now. The forecast for the next couple weeks show that temperatures in Missouri are about to soar into the 90's and don't appear to be cooling down anytime soon.

There's a brand new forecast that claims summer will be the coolest in 6 years. That's great, but before you get excited, know that this doesn't seem to apply to Missouri or Illinois and some other weather experts also don't agree.
