Where there is Gotham, Metropolis must follow. DC's new streaming service has defied all odds to announce yet another Superman-free drama, as a new Metropolis series will pair Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as paranormal investigators before the Man of Steel swooped in.
We were admittedly surprised by the “leaked” trailers for Syfy Superman prequel Krypton, so much so that official pickup seemed like a no-brainer. Now, the David Goyer-produced series reveals its first official footage, cementing our earlier optimism.
Well, Supergirl had to brainwash Superman into not appearing in its first finale, so it makes sense Season 2 would modify the tradition. Our first trailer for next Monday’s “Nevertheless, She Persisted” finale teases Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel taking up arms against his cousin, to say nothing of a final showdown with Rhea.

After yesterday’s three new Batman vs. Superman images from the pages of Empire magazine, today we have even more from the upcoming superhero film. From that same magazine article, we have both Ben Affleck and director Zack Snyder talking about this film’s version of Batman (which Affleck describes as a “f---ed up Batman”), plus a bunch of new photos from the film.
