If you're looking for fun in the sun that includes splashing around in a waterpark that's inexpensive, there's one an hour from Sedalia that might be perfect.

Thanks to those three years of summer mornings filled with dread and swimming lessons I can thrash myself across the pool and theoretically not drown.

The Sedalia 'Healthy Living Action Group' will host lap-swimming on Thursday, August 17, as part of the 'Moving 101 Community Health and Wellness Initiative.'

Each year the Centennial Park Pool closes just before the Missouri State Fair, usually because the Missouri State Fair is starting up and demand for the two pools goes down as people flock to the Fairgrounds.  The other rational is some of the lifeguards are college students and they begin their trek back to college. In the last few years, a tradition has started up where on the last day before t
