The truth is I think I was more stunned than they were. Some hikers making their way across Missouri captured video of a stealth bomber that flew directly over their trail.

If you told me there was one state that you can't fly directly to from Missouri, I would have guessed a half dozen and not gotten it right. I can eliminate my first two guesses for you including Alaska and Hawaii. Nope. It's not either one of those.

We know we live in perilous times with several conflicts flaring up in different regions especially in the Middle East. But, that doesn't explain why a US Air Force 'Nuke Sniffer' plane just flew directly over Missouri. Something strange is in the air quite literally.

What's your worst nightmare when flying (other than crashing)? I've boarded many a plane in my life and the one scenario I've always dreaded is potentially flying through a tornado. There's a video that appears to show that nightmare in action as a plane flies through a twister in St. Louis.

I have always considered myself a good Air Force Brat as my dad served in the Air Force for over 20 years. While I only was at three bases, Castle Air Force Base in California; Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; and Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, I got to see a lot of great planes.  I love the B-2 Stealth Bomber, A-10 Thunderbolt; T-38 that are stationed at Whiteman. Over Mother's Day weekend, I had the chance to stop and visit my mom in Knob Noster and then head to Warrensburg.  I decided after taking mom out, I thought I'd drive by Whiteman Villages and by the fenceline of Whiteman Air Force Base.  I thought this would be a good time to remind you that Wings over Whiteman 2012 is coming!
